The photoshopped people in these artists' renderings never fail to entertain me. I especially love the one JMT posted just above of the convention center replacement project...with people wearing shorts and one guy wearing a sock hat, overcoat, chugging a coffee.

Renamed from Germantown Gateway after the Historic Buena Vista Neighborhood Association pointed out to the developer that his project wasn't actually in Germantown. It will be interesting to see how it fronts Rosa Parks Avenue since that is right there at the freeway entrance.

A parking lot across the street from Belcourt Theatre in Hillsboro Village is going to become home to a four-story mixed-use building. Called Belcourt Village, it will include 28 residences (either apartments or condos, not decided yet), class A office space, and ground-level retail.

Three auto suppliers in Smyrna are adding a combined 520 jobs: Federal-Mogul for 285 jobs, Topre America for 145 jobs, and Steel Technologies for 90 jobs.

If she is successful, this will be a defining legacy for her. On par with The Music City Center for Dean, Bridgestone Arena for Bredesen. I hope she is successful.

Long-awaited repairs on Nashville's I-440 slated for coming year after gas tax hike

Now that the state has some money to spend on roads, they issued a list of selected projects.

Main one for Nashville is to rebuild I-440

New construction Nolensville road

New construction Franklin extending bypass

All the state did was to reveal their 3 year plan. The 440 project is on the list for 2018. No details yet. For $50 million mostly repaving & repairs with some safety improvements, maybe some mods.
