If $ is no issue and you're lucky enough to get in, I'd have to say University School in Nashville.

For public schools, probably Franklin Special or Williamson County as a whole, although there are many good schools in other districts.

Do you know where your kids are going to school? I'm very familiar with the schools in Wilson County.

We are also considering movng to Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville, or Goodletsville - I want to identify the best schools in those areas first then navigate my home search accordingly. Your input is greatly appreciated, I feel lost!

I went to www.schoolmatters.com to take a look at the test scores, Mt. Juliet schools did very well by the numbers but it is hard to tell as I am evaluating them by CA standards and I have no idea what the Tennessee testing system is like. It seemes that the only way to really get a complete feel for a school is to talk to the students, teachers, and parents of that school - particularly the parents. We are looking at Mt. Juliet too as well as Kingston Springs and my daughter is currently a 1st grader too. Though I hope to finish out the school year here, I may still try to purchase a home in the next 3 months and start job hunting for our permanent move in June.

Sigghhh... so much to consider!

Sumner county is known for fantastic public schools, and I know one of them is a national blue ribbon elementary school...I think it's Indian Lake. Check it out. There is also a very good private Christian school relocating from Old hickory blvd in davidson to hendersonville. I think tuition is 5-6k per year. Overall though, it you're not set on private school, sumner county and williamson county have the best public schools. Hope that helps.

Some of the public schools are good and others aren't. Theres alot of secondary/private schools around Nashville, which would be good first options.
