You'll probably have to give up the idea of a really short commute to MetroCenter. There are some "urban living" type places in the area but I don't believe that's what you're looking for.

The commute time of day I don't think is a huge issue, just the total amount of time. He usually won't be leaving or coming home during "rush hour". Since you live in Bellevue, have you heard anything about the Grand View apartments? good/bad?

I go by them every day (they're right off the Interstate) but I don't really know anything about them. Just looking at the outside I would say they're "okay" but nothing special.
