Hi everyone. I am looking at living in Mt Juliet area of Nashville, TN, but my job is located in the West End area on Rosa Parks Blvd. I heard that the rough hour traffic is bizarre during certain times, but I really like this area. Since this will be my first year moving there, I was thinking that the drive won't be so mundane and irritating, but rather kinda exciting because it's new.

How much time do you all think one could spend in rush hour traffic from both ways?

What are the rush hour times?

West End area on Rosa Parks?

Maybe you mean Metrocenter.

Rush hour times can vary a little bit depending on exactly where you are talking about, but generally speaking, 6:30-8:30 in the AM, and 4:00-6:00 in the PM. Certain especially busy areas can start/finish early or late.

Like nashvols said, "Huh"? West End and Rosa Parks doesn't make sense. But MJ would be a horrible commute IMO. Anywhere on the west side would be better.

It wouldn't be a great commute. You'd run into traffic really in every direction coming in and going out of town using the interstates. That said, I commuted from MtJ to Franklin for 4 years (longer drive but less congestion than yours would be) and while it wasn't great, I adapted. Lots of podcasts and satellite radio.

If you absolutely love the house and it is a good fit for your family and the job is one you love (or at least don't loathe) then you can make it work. But otherwise, looking on the west side might make sense.
