I'll be heading to Nashville to take my son out for a birthday dinner, want to find a special place that we can't go to here in the ATL (no Ruth Chris, Maggianos etc)
any recommendations?

Try Mambu, Bound'ry, The Trace, Cabana, or Jimmy Kelly's.

Have a great time!

Cabana is great, and Rumba is really good and different. I don't think Rumba has online menus, but I have been MANY times for birthdays & dinners, or just for drinks (GREAT mojitos). They have small plates & large plates and serve latin & caribbean flavors.

Cabana is "southern cuisine", and good to take picky eaters because there is fancy stuff & simple stuff.

Love Mambu, if you want to spend some money Watermark is the best restaurant in town IMO.
