Default Decent area for 80k?

Are there any decent areas where you can buy a decent small home for 80k or less?

Absolutely...depending on your definition of decent. Certainly as you get further from the city, you can find places in that range, and there are places within the city in that range too. Just be careful about the neighborhood before making a commitment. We looked at several clean 2bed/1bath homes in north nashville priced from the 60s to 80s(two years ago) that should be sufficient.

Default What area specifically?

Hawaii- what are you needing to be near? Once I know that, I'd be happy to offer some ideas. There are some rural areas that might be perfect. Are you open to condos?

Fill me in more and I will pass some ideas your way.

My best,
Justin

About the only safe, non-Dickerson Road area you're going to be able to find something at this price is in Old Hickory Village. It's a historic neighborhood and many of the houses are 60-70 years old, so do a thorough inspection before you sign the papers. I think this area could be a good long-term investment. Get in now before Old Hickory inevitably becomes one of the next "boom" areas, taking the baton that has been passed from Murfreesboro to Brentwood to Franklin to LaVergne/Smyrna and now Hendersonville and Mt. Juliet. Old Hickory and Ashland City are the final frontiers.

I'm not even sure about Ashland City anymore. They are finishing a marina/condo project there with two 10-story towers.
