As much as I love the Nashville area, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed if you're looking for mountain views around there. If you want mountains, you need to come to East Tennessee. Chattanooga is surrounded by mountains, and Knoxville is within spitting distance of mountains.

The Nashville area has something more like rolling hills. As was stated, you wont find any true mountains here. It is possible to have a nice hillside home in the area, but I dont think from the sound of your post that it would suffice.

It probably depends on where you're from. If you're from Kansas, somewhere like Pegram or Fairview (SW of Nashville) might be considered mountainous.

Nope, no mountains in White House OR Springfield. But they both are on "the ridge".
