Hi everyone! We are about to celebrate our 25th anniversary in a couple weeks, and hoping someone here can tell us where to go for a nice dinner. We live in Huntsville and nothing around here seems to fit our wants. Husband likes a really good steak, and I like seafood & pasta dishes. We'll be driving up and spending the night, so we're wondering, too, if we can get a hotel that's close-by to whatever restaurant we choose.

We very unfortunately had to cancel a wonderful cruise (planned a year in advance) due to a surgery I had, so we feel like splurging for one night (on the meal, not necessarily the hotel)...We are hoping for something under $100pp including a nice bottle of champagne or wine. Hey, how often can two 45-year-olds say they are celebrating 25 years of marriage? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This thread is 2 years old but worth reading, I think, as it's similar to yours:

Recommendation for Romantic Dinner at Recently Opened Restaurant?

I had some friends recently go to Etch. They are real foodies and said it was amazing, the creative pairings. EXPENSIVE!

You can check the menu out on their website

Celebrated my Mom's 91st birthday last year at the Red Pony and really enjoyed it. It's in downtown Franklin, which is cute, and after dinner you could go to Gray's for a drink.

How much did you want to spend on a hotel? I love Union Station.

I stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Nashville for my birthday this year and it's lovely BUT I could hear the music from Lower Broadway until 4AM. The Omni is new . . . not sure if you can hear the music there or not???

Kayne Prime in the Gulch is by far the best steak restaurant in Nashville. I would consider them.

I'd stay at the Omni.

For a really nice, historic hotel check out the Hermitage Hotel. Capitol Grille is located here and is more "fine dining" with the en vogue southern cuisine.

If you really want to splurge then check out The Catbird Seat. My wife and I have been and it is quite the experience. Expect to spend around $200 per person. It is a three hour culinary experience with 17 courses included in the meal.

Southern Restaurant in Nashville | Mason's Restaurant | Loews Vanderbilt Hotel

Loews Vanderbilt may be all you need. Dine at Ruth Chris steak house. Other choices on West End. Visit Centennial park & the Parthenon. Have you seen Athena?

To OP. I would go on www.opentable.com and see what restaurants are available when you want to come and read the reviews. There are a lot of great options in Nashville/Franklin.

I love Etch too! I took my partner there for his birthday a few weeks ago. We got an appetizer, 2 entrees, a glass of wine and 2 cocktails and it was $120 to give you an idea on price.
