I'm moving to Nashville next month for a job near the airport. I'm in my 20s, single and would like to live in an urban area or at least in a modern/new apartment complex -- preferably near other young professionals.

I'm looking for a studio or one bedroom apartment. My budget is in the $1,110-$1,500 range (can exceed if necessary).

I'd also like to keep my commute under 30 minutes if possible. Ideally, I'd like to live between the airport area and downtown.

Where should I look? Do you recommend any resources for finding apartments?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The area between downtown and the airport isn't the most desirable, so I'd just look in and around the downtown core because since your commute will go against the flow of traffic, you can stand to be a little further from work. My assumption is you may have to increase your budget in a lot of cases if you want a 1 bedroom but I don't live downtown.

The area on Lebanon Road that is East of Mount Olivet Cemetery is fine. I'm sure you would be able to find something in that price range, or anywhere in Donelson for that matter.

When I said not very desirable I should've said that for someone in their 20s looking for an urban or modern living space, Donelson wouldn't likely be at the top of the list.

Agree. I would look in the Gulch, downtown, the 8th Street corridor, maybe even Germantown since you could jump on the freeway pretty easy off the Jefferson Street bridge.

I also agree about bumping your budget up just a bit.
