Really surprised Austin isn't ranked #1 and shocked beyond belief it's not even mentioned in the Top 10. Makes me question the crediblity of this Datafox outfit. Ann Arbor? Las Vegas? Indianapolis? Nashville? Cincinnati? All out rank Austin for new technology grads? Please. No disrespect to any of those cities, but I find it hard to believe any of them out rank Austin as a destination for high tech grads.

Take a breath and read again.

The list is titled "Cities That are SECRETLY Great for Tech Grads."

That Austin has a lot of tech jobs is not really a secret.

Oh. Ok. I missed that part. Thanks for clueing me in. I guess Austin not being on the list is a good thing and really does make sense. Congratulations to Nashville and the other cities as well, though.

I agree Ivory Lee (Wow! That almost rhymes.). These lists are simply too common, and too vague and really exist primarily to attract "clicks" online. "Secretly"... LOL

That said, it's always nice to be included, as that becomes evidence of "mind share", and we all know about "It City". Nashville is doing an excellent job of developing (healthcare and marketing) and attracting (finance) tech jobs. One of the things it did well back in the 1990s is to provide a lot of so-called "back" office support (Deloitte and several banks, etc.). Since that time, the Entrepreneur Center, among others, have fostered new businesses. The local VC community has really stepped up in the past 15 years.

Nashville has definitely grown with tech job availability, probably because it's grown (population) so much in general. But with that the cost of living is continuing to rise at an extreme rate.
