Well, looks like bears are also noticing Nashville is "It City" and joining the thousands who are relocating to the area.

TWRA confirms black bears are likely to be in the area.

"Black bears are not nearly as aggressive as some other bears such as browns or grizzlies and predatory attacks are rare.

They can, however, be a nuisance for residents if they find a food source close to a home."

The article also mentions that they are likely coming from east TN, Kentucky, and Arkansas.

Still, I guess we can now begin to add bears to the list of fear-creators in this area along with brown recluses, black widows, all manner of snakes, and lack of public transportation.

The Bears I don't mind. It's the Blackhawks and Red Wings that are annoying.

I live about 50 miles south of Nashville. I would love to see bears make a comeback in the area. It is disgusting that humans hunted them to the point they almost disappeared. If I can live with deer, coyotes and other critters why can't I coexist with bears? Smart people will not have a problem with bears. Don't leave food out for them and you will not even know they are in the area.
