Question Looking for Gated Equestrian Community near Nashville

Howdy all,
I'm new here. My family and I are moving from Michigan to Nashville this year, probably summer time. No more snow-filled winters for us!

We have 2 horses and are interested in one of the gated equestrian communities in the area, within 1 hrs drive of Nashville (Green Hills). I've been doing some searching online and found a few of them, but WOWZA! they're really high $$$! Are there any new ones, with land/lots available in the near future to build our own home on?

Thanks!

Hi there. Welcome to the area! (It is snowing here, by the way, but what did stick already melted.) It is laughable compared to Michigan so do not fear!

As for your search, I'm actually in the process of helping someone else look for the exact same criteria! Yes, they can get a little pricey.

Williamson County has long been home to many of the respected horse farms including the areas of Leipers Fork (usually in Franklin when doing a home search), Franklin, Brentwood, Arrington, etc. You can search for individual properties with land or horse farms and find quite a few that might be less expensive than the communities, but then again, they might be more expensive.

As for the equestrian communities here they are. Beechwood Plantation in Franklin is one. In the completely opposite direction is a new one in Gallatin called The Paddock. Saddle Springs Estates in Thompsons Station (Williamson County) is another one. Then you have regular subdivisions with much larger lots (5 acres or more) like Garrison Springs Estates and Traceland Estates in Leipers Fork, to name a few. So if you're interested in a property that will be equipped for horses, you can easily find individual properties or even properties within an equestrian community. Consequently, there is a new Greg Norman golf course being built about 5 minutes from Saddle Springs equestrian subdivision, if you happen to like golf too.

Hope this helps!

I have never replied or even been on this site...so I hope this works. I am a native Nashvillian and have horses. I was looking to see about equestrian communities. One reason is so that I might convince a developer to such site.

I found your e-mail. So...have you moved to TN yet? Would love to connect if only by computer.

Donna
