Good morning. My husband and I are looking to move to the Nashville area some time in the future (hopefully sooner rather than later). We've been to Mt. Juliet a number of times and like it, but were wondering if you could recommend any other areas to look.

We're both in our 50's. No young kids. Hoping to be able to work from home.

We're not looking for a lot of land or anything fancy (since we're getting older and don't want to have to take care of too much). Maybe 2-3 bedrooms, 1+ bath, bonus room. And looking to spend around $250,000 (school systems not important since no school age kids). And of course a safe area.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say much about mt juliet, but make sure to check realtracs.com to look at some housing listings. That's where you'll find the most accurate information about the housing market.

Thanks! I'll definitely look into realtracs.com. Also looking for suggestions of other areas to look into if anyone can offer any insight.

You don't give us a lot to go on. Urban, rural, suburban? Want to be near certain things?

I'm in my 50s and I would never live anywhere outside the urban loop, but that's me and my interests. You may feel otherwise.

N.Cal, thanks for taking the time to respond.

We're looking for suburbs...enough space for a backyard...driving distance to shopping, restaurants, etc. Just want a place to park our car on a driveway, a backyard to BBQ...not looking to be on acres of land.
