just wondering if some of you could share your opinion's on either one of these services. We are moving to Hendersonville in the next few months and are wondering which way to go. We would love to have, cable, internet, and phone with the same company, but not pay an arm and a leg for it (if thats possible). We also need high def. channel's. Thanks

I've had Directv for quite a few years now and I do think it's a good choice. Consumer Reports rated the satellite providers as superior to the cable companies in one of their reports and I think they're generally less expensive. If you want to get everything none of them are cheap. I just bought a 46 inch flat screen tv and I have every movie channel and HD channel available and I pay about $112 a month which might seem like alot but I think it's still cheaper than Comcast. Comcast is great for internet and that's who I use because I'm a contractor for the phone company and I work from home and need a fast internet but television is a different matter. I know my sister in Seattle has Comcast for their television and it's very expensive and they don't have all of the movie channels like I do. Cable companies have problems when there is a cut line someplace which can knock alot of customers out of service. Satellite providers only have a problem when the weather is really bad and the signal is interrupted but it really has to be bad for that to happen and it comes right back afterwards. The reason I switched to Directv was because of the constant outages in service when I happened to be living in Denver at the time. Also, when you move they set you up in your new house for free and I've done that three times and each time I've gotten the latest receiver for free. Anyway, that's my recommendation, Directv.

I'd go with AT&T/DirecTv.

DirecTV also has pretty good customer service. You rarely have to wait for a rep. I believe they also have more HD channels than cable if you have an HDTV.

Directv for TV. AT&T for phone. Comcast for high speed internet.

They do, but Comcast likes to fudge their numbers in the commercials. Not counting On Demands HD channels, which I don't see why one would, DirecTV has quite a bit more HD channels than Comast.

I don't think DirectTV carries "On Demand" premium channels, such as, HBO On Demand or Showtime On Demand. Could someone confirm?

They may have some type of On Demand feature, but it is not nearly as extensive as Comcast's.
