Will be in town for a long weekend soon and would like to do some day drinking on a rooftop with city views. Where should I go?

Also looking for weekend brunch recommendations downtown or gulch area.

Thanks in advance!

The rooftop bar at the Westin hotel is pretty fabulous. As is the one in the Fairfield Inn in the Guch (called Up). And there is one in the Thompson Hotel in the Gulch but I have not been there. Acme Feed and Seed also has a rooftop bar though it's not always open to the public.

In addition, some of the honky tonk's on Broadway have open spaces on their roofs. The looking down at them from our offices they look a little scary.

I hear the brunch at Kitchen Notes in the Omni is very good.

It is. It even has a pool but it was too cold the night we were there to go in.

The hotel roof bars can the general public even get up there?

From what I heard most roof top bars won't even let you get up there unless you are rich or a celebrity
