Hi- my daughter has accepted a position in Franklin TN. She's a single income and on her own. From internet searches I see apartments for over $1000 a month but she can't afford that rate. Does anyone have suggestions for safe but more affordable living in or around Franklin?

How much CAN she afford??? A roommate might be her only option. Might find something for $850 - $900 in Bellevue but that would be about the lowest (safe) rent in the area.

We moved our son up last week for a new job he's applying for an apartment today. The apartments run some specials but from our searching don't think you'll find a decent place for less than 1100-1200. You may try Viera Cool Springs it looked OK just an older complex but the location was good.

$1000 is going to be hard to find anywhere in Nashville, especially in safe areas.

If she doesn't mind a commute, she could live on the West side of Murfreesboro, which is safe, family-oriented and far enough away from MTSU to avoid the student-clogged areas of town.

As an example, St. Andrews Apartments start at $870, is right off of Hwy. 96 which connects Murfreesboro and Franklin, and would be a 25-30 minute commute. St. Andrews Apartments - Murfreesboro, TN 37128

Much easier than commuting from Bellevue.
