Unhappy Need help finding a nice and bug-free apt in Nashville

Hi I've lived in Bellevue a few years now and changed apt twice already, but I'm now again in apt search.. sigh.

The places I lived all look good outside, but inside is totally different story: scary and deadly bugs, old and drafty windows/walls (near $200 electricity bills for a <1000 Sq Ft!), water leaks, etc. and things like poor night lighting, break-ins, bad management... and dont even mentioning kitchens, they are all designed for you to cook nothing there. using oven for 10 minutes and your whole apt is pizzahut (i mean smell).

I looked around for a while but just can't seem to be able to find a good place. If you get to apartmentratings.com, all popular apt complexes have pretty bad reviews...

So I found this website. Seems there are some quite warmhearted people here. Wonder if you guys can share some good stories about certain places... Thanks so much!

------

By the way, I'm a single working professional, interested in rent range of $600-1000 around..

That sounds like the apartment I rented when I first moved to Bellevue. Then it was called Knollwood, now it's called 1808 or something like that (the corner of 70S and Bellevue Road).
