No one mentioned tobacco, my brother-in-law looks like a low life from chewing for years. He has few teeth left and the ones that sprinkle his mouth are yellow-brown. He lives no where near M'boro or Tennessee for that matter. Nice looking man until he opens his mouth!
Deborah, in my teen years I worked in a couple tobacco sale floors in Mayfield , Ky. One older man there looked through the tobacco and found 3 or 4 good leaves. He pulled the stem out, then twisted it up to look just like some of those big plugs you see at the stores. Then he cut off a big chunk of it and started chewing!! I wouldn't chew if I had to but that just about got me! He said it's better if you let it set for a while in a bowl of Jack Daniels!

Thanks for the update on alleycat. I was starting to worry too.

Also I have still yet to see any missing teeth here in Mount Juliet or Hermatige.

I hope those that jumped on this thread feel so much better about themselves. Does it really matter why some people have no teeth? Is it any of your concern except to feel better then them? But at least the poster who keeps saying the people are friendly.... guess no ones needs teeth to be friendly.
And transplants wonder why they aren't accepted....Hello! read this thread and the answer is clear. Wonder if the pretentous attitude slips out? I find this whole thread insulting and embarrassing as a transplant.
Pam

Believe me.....the whole "people/areas of people with seriously bad teeth" can be found all over!---Not just in Tennessee!
my family and i went out to dinner at a place in pigeon forge called duffs smorgasboard. there were only 2 employees that we saw that even had teeth! the rest were gumbys. especially funny was the woman singing lol she wore her makeup like tammy faye! imagine tammy faye without teeth!
