Will be visiting Nashville in November to celebrate a birthday. We like exotic food (no barbecue, or southern cooking) and want to find a restaurant *so unique* we'll never want to leave town. The best tasting food is not top on the list...most UNIQUE or having a setting filled with ATMOSPHERE is what we're looking for. Would like in years to come to smile each time we remember it. So, is there anything like that?

Unique is in the eye of the beholder.

What do you consider exotic? Exotic and Nashville aren't two words I would use in the same sentence.

Try to get a reservation at The Catbird Seat..

Best food I've had recently is Tànsu.

I agree! Wasn't my choice to go there. Trying to make the best of a bad situation. Thanks for the link.

Enjoyed Chauhan Ale House (Indian) and Marche Artisan ("European"). The Catbird Seat is good too.

The Catbird Seat is probably the most unique and critically acclaimed dining experience in Nashville. In terms of a culinary experience it mingles with the best restaurants in the country (and even the world). If it means anything, the former Catbird Seat chef is moved to Noma in Copenhagen while the current Catbird Seat executive chef came from Noma. If you are interested in going you need to make online reservations early. They are currently booking through October 19th and only have two person openings on October 4th, 10th, 11th, 18th, and 19th between now and then.
