Best Things About Nashville?
Can everyone list their one favorite thing about living in Nashville? Moving out there soon, and am interested to see what all the great things are about the area. Thanks.

One? Come on! You're on a board full of people who love their town.
Radnor Lake - right in the city limits; feels like you're world's away; awesome wildlife viewing, serene, and you can get a good walk or hike in easily.
Percy Warner Park - another awesome park that goes up through the hills. beautiful scenery.
Southern cooking - Although it's not probably good for the body to eat on a regular basis, southern food is just great. There are tons of restaurants here called "meat & 3's", and you'll have to try southern food at least once.
Music - well, we could all really write a book here on this subject, so I'll just leave it very generic. Contrary to popular belief, Nashville has much more to offer than one genre of music.
Convenience - the city is not so large that it takes an hour to get anywhere around it. Most area you would live in is pretty convenient to most of the other areas around the city. Some commute paths definitely are harder than others, but when compared to larger cities, we really can get from one place to another fairly quickly.
Climate - We have four seasons. Winters are usually quite mild. Spring, Summer and Fall are beautiful here. Summers get quite warm, but I also love that about it.
There are so many things, so I'll stop there for now. What are some of your own interests or things that are important to you...and we'll try to tell you what we have here in relation to it...

Hot chicks, cold beer, and not too many Yankees. Hit the gym hard until June and then come check out the women on Old Hickory Lake. You'll see what everyone's talking about when they say Nashville is a great place to be!!!

Yup. Nashville is the South and we'd like to keep it that way. I welcome anyone from any part of the country, but request they embrace our culture and leave the New York attitude in New York.

Let me know when you get here. Old Hickory or Percy Priest is definitely where you want to be for the 4th. If you can't score there, you're not trying.
I have upped my intensity at the YMCA big-time, and even started doing abs again this month. Sun's out, guns out!

I don't live in Nashville. A family member does but this is what I like about it.
the weather to me is nice.
I love the scenery, extremely picturesque
Surprisingly diverse
The mayor REALLY seems to be on the ball and i am very impressed with their mass transit plans.
Tons to do if you are into nature stuff they have that, shopping, eating etc.
denawilliams
Is radnor lake that park with the hills and the walk ways that go up the ills? Then there is that HUGE lake and you say houses on the distant hills? I just saw that for the first time a few weeks ago. Amazing view!
