Hi all,

Just wondering if you have any suggestions I hadn't thought of for getting from Nashville to Atlanta on a Sunday. It seems that there's no Amtrak connection and flying options are minimal and expensive. So really I'm looking at renting a car or megabus/greyhound. Anything else I might have missed? TIA!!

There is no Amtrak at all in Nashville. Most flights on Southwest will take you somewhere else to fly to Atlanta. Not sure if Delta is any better. The only choice you have is on a Greyhound or drive yourself. Most of us would probably drive & be half way there before boarding a flight.

Southwest will start non-stop flights to Atlanta out of Nashville in August or September, I believe, which will bring the price down. At the moment there are Sunday prices one way for $125 or starting August 19th they go down to $71.

In the meantime, try MegaBus (https://us.megabus.com/) At the moment it's showing a $29 fare (one way) for this Sunday. Two trips per day.

Can't think of any other ideas . . . Renting a car here and returning it to ATL will cost around $100 although you could also call some local rental agencies and see if they need a car moved between airports?

Thanks guys. I posted in ATL too and basically got the exact same responses lol.

Groome prices at ~$90 OW, so I'll take greyhound/megabus over that for sure. Yeah, atm the best car rental I see is $107 total for 24 hrs. And if I'm going to rent I almost might as well rent for 2 days, which makes it around $200 total. Best flight I saw for my day was over $180. It will be great for you guys once the SW service begins.

I will most likely end up taking greyhound just cause there are a few more schedule options than megabus.
