I like San Diego better than the rest of Southern California because it not as leftist but still fairly family friendly. LA is great as well but the people drive me crazy sometimes especially in West LA.

California transplants aren't a Nashville thing, they're an anywhere outside of California thing.

I like both SD and LA, I just find SD more enjoyable

Not that many of them here that I have met. I have a lot more Chicago and Northeast transplants but that is more rational it is closer to move. When I visit Atlanta I met a lot more California transplants but still not a ton.

They typically stay out west where it's still nice overall but not quite as expensive so places like Oregon and Washington but mainly Vegas and Arizona. Texas too but the weather sucks.

I agree most California transplants that I meet just based on travels usually live in Denver, Phoenix, Vegas, Austin and such.
