I think a lot of people have no clue or think Nashville is all county music and caters to all things country, but big urban acts like JD's So So Def Anniversary will be coming to Nashville this fall as well.. This further more proves Nashville is not the city a lot of us blacks have thought.

My cousin Candace Springs performs at City Winery on occasion (think a jazz version of Starley). It is a nice upscale spot to catch a good show... don't do the food though lol. Nashville receives many urban acts that people have no clue or (cough) no interest in. The city has many resources for minorities and a great ethnic food selection in Antioch and Nolensville rd areas. The great thing about Nashville is that you never feel out of place as a minority...even in high end neighborhoods. The city is very socially integrated and you can get access to resources because most people here are nice and genuinely interested in helping you out.
