That is what we have been looking for--something similar to the carne asada burritos that we used to get at Robertos in San Diego. Fab-u-lous!! We have tried several places but nothing measures up.
When I visit my friend in SD I wear her out on mexican food. Of course when she comes to visit me she wears me out on Cracker Barrel so we are even.

If you're ever gonna be in Murfreesboro, may I suggest a great mexican restaurant.
La Playita - Authentic mexican food, and a cool atmosphere with low prices!!
Reminds me of the old taqueras in Denton, Tx..

I guess we're going to have to try taco express.
We went to a place yesterday called Qdabo mexican grill at the new Indian Lake mall in Hendersonville. Once again, a softball looking thingy filled mostly with rice.
This obsession to fill these things with rice just blows me away.
My wife described all us San Diego transplants as "mexican food snobs" because we all like it the way we used to get it out west.

Thanks for info on Qdabo. So far I'm reading the restaurants in the new Indian Lake mall are expensive and don't have good food.

Yeah, if I want a rubbery textured tortilla filled with rice I'll make it at home and it won't cost 6 or 7 bucks.

Baja Burrito in Nashville and their franchised places called Blue Coast Burrito (Franklin and Murfreesboro) are very good taquerias. March right in there and order the rice-free burrito you crave

Las Palmas in Nashville is my hands-down favorite Mexican restaurant in the world. It's the one of choice for the majority of the downtown lunch crowd. I judge Mexican restaurants by their salsa and their enchilada sauce. Las Palmas has both of those things perfect...as well as everything else.

Mexican Food
There isn't any authentic Mexican food in Cool Springs, but if you go into the Nolensville Road area there is alot of Mexican places to eat there. One of my favorites is Las Americas and there is also La Hacienda. Good luck!
