Need names of Kindergartens in Franklin/Brentoood areas
I am planning to relocate my family to either Franklin or Brentwood later this year. We have two girls of the ages of 1-1/2 and 4-1/2 and reside in the suburbs of Chicago.
Our 4-1/2 yr old will be attending Kindergarten this fall and I am looking for suggestions of Kindergartens either in Franklin or Brentwood.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I did a search on this forum and was unable to come up with much).

In Brentwood and Franklin you will be looking at either Williamson County or Franklin Special School Districts. The good news is that both are excellent. The better news is that it's a great time to buy a house here.
There is no bad news
There are lany private options as well. They provide religious, learning style, and environmental choices. When we first moved here we enrolled our kids in a Montessori school. After a couple years we had them both in public and are very happy there.
I know you're looking for specifics, but there aren't any schools you need to avoid in these districts. The only caution would be the application time to Poplar Grove School in Franklin. It's a balanced calendar PreK-8 school, and while public, is by application only. Their elementary ph# 615 790-4720.
Good luck!

Thanks, I did a search for homes on realtracs and it listed Winstead, Grassland Elementary, Poplar Grove and Oak View.
Does anyone have any specific feedback on the abovementioned schools as we would base our choosing of a home on the schools (doesn't everyone...)
As for cut off time we will have to take our chances since we won't even be visiting for at least a month or two.

My son attended Kindergarten this year at Trinity Elementary in Franklin and I was very impressed. What a great school!! We are originally from Michigan and I think that the public schools are better here than back home! My son has learned more here in Kindergarten than my best friends little boy in Michigan. They take education seriously in Williamson County! The school is huge with 7 kindergarten classes and there are many other grade schools in Franklin.

I have heard great things about Grassland. I look by the high school district and we are staying within Franklin High or Independence High. Really, you can't go wrong in Williamson county. Most of the people I know (with huge disposable incomes) say that the only folks who send their kids to private school in Williamson county have too much money! LOL... I am sure there are other reasons, too...
I have heard that Fairview and Fred Page are iffy and more "country" schools... but to each his own.

Personally, I think Page is a wonderful school. My only objection is the road my child would need to take to get there. As a new driver, it's just not a route we'd want her to drive.

My son goes to Liberty Elementary and we've been extremely pleased. Poplar Grove is likely out of the question for this coming school year since it's a lottery-type entry. I've not heard anything terrible about any of the schools you've mentiond...all great things.
