Default Stroller Friendly Trails

I want to start exploring TN. We'd really like to go hiking, but we need to take 2 strollers with us. Are there any good trails within 1 hour of Nashville that are smooth enough for strollers? Our strollers can go off road on gravel just fine, but can't climb rocks. We've gone to Radnor a lot to walk along the lake.

Thanks

Edwin Warner Park is a good choice. The entrance on Highway 100 just east of Old Hickory Blvd will take you to a parking lot with a map of the trails and roads. The paved roads in that section of the park are off limits to cars so it is a perfect place to "stroll".

Two others that might be okay for strollers are the Ashland City Greenway in west Cheatham County and the Dunbar Cave Trail Loop in Clarksville. The AC Greenway uses what was once a railroad right-of-way that runs somewhat parallel to the Cumberland River. I have only been on part of this greenway so I can't say whether all of it is suitable for strollers or not, but I'm thinking it probably is. You can also picnic at the Cheatham Dam area nearby if you like (there's picnic tables and shelters and all that).

You should definitely check out the Greenway at Shelby bottoms. The trail head is about 2 miles from downtown and runs along the Cumberland river for 2-4 miles (makes for a 7+ mile out and back). There is also a new bridge about 3 miles out that will take you across the river to a whole other set of greenways and the Opryland and Opry Mills area. The greenway is all paved and flat, easy with a stroller. Check it out!
