Thanks Johnhw2 for the feedback! It's always hard to tell what a place is like by just researching online since everyone has different opinions. I grew up in Houston and lived in Plano for a year so appreciate the view you have. We moved to the PNW from Plano and after 17 years, it's time to seek the sun and warmer weather again.

Johnhw2 - Also check out the 185 bed Williamson Medical Center for care. A lot less stressful to get to and deal with than Vanderbilt.

https://williamsonmedicalcenter.org/

It's on the other side of 65, south end of the Cool Springs area. Also Vanderbilt has a lot of Medical Centers, specialized clinics, all over the Franklin area. Doctors offices and a bone/joint clinic, walk in care, etc.

Just mentioning that you might not have to deal with very large University Medical Center off of 21st which can be very confusing.

Thanks Country Girl.

My wife has several chronic illnesses and her body reacts different to them an meds from the typical patient with them. So improved out medical providers coming to Dallas after Houston which surprised me since we really liked our Houston Docs. I will replicate the process I use on the move here. We get will pay for an Internal medicine Dr over and above insurance to get access to him to visit or speak to several times a month. He orchestrates her care with the specialist he refers us to within Vandy most likely or one of the larger medical communities in Nashville. The key specialist we need is for RA. We have a great one here in Dallas, who literally wrote the hand book on RA to guide Drs on med and impacts on the many aspects of RA. We seem him 2 to 3 times a year now. I doubt we can find a comparable RA Dr in Nashville so might keep the one here and come back to see him. My wife has progressed through many of the latest meds as one after time is not effective in her so we move to a newer one, which now we get my infusion every 28 days.

I think this approach will work for us. We drive 18 miles to four of her Dr's here. With all of them in the Baylor system here we use Baylor Plano near me for ER as her records are there and her specialists have access to them when she is in too.

I know RA is one of the specialties in UAB so that is an option for us. I should not DFW is not recognized as having a strong RA specialties but we found the best one I've known here despite that.

We like suburban life and felt Brentwood or Franklin near Cool Springs area is the most like where we are not which we find very convenient

I recommend you work with an agent because it doesn't cost you any money (they get a cut of the selling agent's commission) but more importantly they know the area and can look up the sales and disclosure history of properties for you.
