Default Looking for input from Nashville postal workers

Hello
We are currently working on a transfer to the Nashville area with the post office and we're looking for some input.
In general- do Nashville mail carriers work alot of overtime? We are coming from an area with alot of OT and although we can live without it (ok- we can learn to live without it if we have to lol); we were curious how the situation was there.
Thanks!

Not trying to hijack your thread, but is checking their website the only way to find out USPS vacancies? I'm a veteran, and have been wanting to get on with USPS for a while now.

Hi Mike- no problem at all. My husband is a fellow veteran as well
Currently the USPS is in a "firing freeze" and has been since I think around last Sept. They only people they are hiring are called "TE's" (transitional employees). They are hired for a 364 day run and after that can be extended at the USPS discretion. TE's are not guaranteed 40 hours but do get some of the benefits (not retirement though).

Sorry- didn't answer your actual question...yes; from what I've heard that's the only way to go about getting a job with them right now.
