Thank you! This sounds like the kind of place we love!

:-) Well now that my mouth is also watering I'm going to go there for lunch! I whipped out my menu because otherwise I would have no chance of spelling this right. If anyone visits Athens try the "Melitzanosalada" Appetizer, it's mashed eggplant mixed with herbs and spices and you spread it on pita bread, $4.25. Sometimes I just get that.

YUM! I'm stuck in a hotel room with microwave popcorn! I think I want one of each dessert from Eastland Cafe! Looking forward to trying these places...and we really like Thai food!

I like Athens Family Restaurant too. They're open 24 hours on some days, so it's nice if you're out for an event and want something good to eat after normal hours.

Jasmine down in Cool Springs is good if you enjoy Thai. (I don't think it's a chain, but I don't know for sure)

GOOD Magazine | Goodmagazine - America's Tastiest Streets (http://www.goodmagazine.com/section/Features/americas_tastiest_streets - broken link)

Here's a nice write-up from Good Magazine singing the praises some of the (mostley ethnic) restaurants on Nolensville Road.

I'll echo Athens Family Restaurant. If you love Thai and get to Murfreesboro, try Bangkok Cafe. Absolutely the best Thai food in Middle Tennessee. I've seen reviews that say some of the best Thai food in the United States. The owner/chef is a delightful woman, too.

I would love to recommend the Thompson's Station Restaurant. It is in Thompson's Station, has a really nice qaint family atmosphere and pretty good prices. The food is DELICIOUS!!!
