Default Stand Alone Butcher Shops in White House/Hendersonville Area

When we buy a home we will would like to buy a deep freezer. Does anyone know of good butcher shops in the White House/Hendersonville area? Some one who does bulk beef like a regular butcher shop does. Not sure if your Kroger's have that or not. We have Ralph's stores here in CA (same as Kroger) but they don't do bulk beef.

There's not too stand-alone butcher shops left anymore (supermarkets sort of put them out of business for the most part many years ago). There used to be wholesalers in the Nashville area who would sell to the public. I don't remember the names of any of them offhand. I wonder if this might be a case where you'd do just as well buying from Sam's Club.

There's not too many stand-alone shops left . . . I meant.

That's one thing I hate about this board, having a very short window of opportunity to edit your own posts.

There is not one in White House. I doubt that you would find one in Hendersonville.

The more upscale grocery stores might be a good place to look like Whole Foods or Fresh Market, but those are not near where you want. There is also Todd's Butcher Shop in Nashville:

I drove by a place called Houston Meat & Produce. It's a small place on N Mount Juliet Road. When I saw it I thought of this post They may have meat to sell in bulk. I could stop there some day and ask if you want.

Hey, so sweet...but we will be living in the White House area and was trying to find something closer. I really didn't want a whole cow! LOL LOL but sometimes you get a better cut and better meat at a butcher shop. I know they're far and few these days anywhere. We're lucky to have one down the block from us. It's funny because it's packed all the time. It's just alittle bit more than Ralphs (Kroger's there) but the cuts are better and better flavor.

You could buy a cow and take it to a meat packing plant! I'm not completely kidding. My parents used to do just that.

(But I am mostly kidding.)
