You might want to check out the West End/Hillsboro area of town. Around Vanderbilt are a lot of unique places. I think Barnes and Noble (not on West End) has poetry readings.

1. Nissan plant tour
Factory Tours USA
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Reservations required, call 615-459-1444. Sorry - no free car samples at the end of the tour. But it is an excellent tour through the factory with almost no walking.
2. Visit the Main (downtown) Library in Davidson County -
(Main) - Nashville Public Library Free parking for 2 hours is also available in the attached parking garage.
