Default Recycling and Trash Services--Ashland City

Looking for a resident of Cheatham county (more specifically Ashland City) to give me an orientation to trash pickup and recycling. Is trash pickup available--how often--is it a county/city service or is there a private company that collects a fee?

What recycling centers/programs are nearby? I'm currently living in Davidson County/Nashville and love the CURBY program. Do you know of any recycling collection centers/bins for paper/aluminum/steel cans/plastics in Ashland City?

I don't know about inside city limits, but outside city limits you haul your own or pay for private pickup. The private companies don't do recycle pickup, but there are "convenience centers" where you can drop off recycling. Of course, if you do that once a week you may as well save money and haul your own trash to the same convenience center if you're going anyway.

We are in Cheatham County but not Ashland City. This county does not recycle as much material as we are used to/would like - ie no plastics, no magazines, etc. You can look up what they will collect and where the stations are located at this website: Cheatham County Tennessee - Community Services - Landfill and Recycling.
