Take a look at BARNES ROAD between Nolensville Rd and Old Hickory. There are 4-5 nice subdivisions being built up there and its still Antioch, yet close to Lenox Village and NolensvilleRd/Brentwood/CrockettRd.. Also schools are zoned for Shayne elem, Oliver Middle and John Overton, instead of the typical Antioch schools with a worse rap.

People in those subdivisions are NOT what Antiochs bad rap is known for, yet they have the 37013 zip code.

Stanford Village, Delvin Downs, Barnes Bend, Barnes Crossing, Barnes Cove are the names that come to mind... Also Sugar Valley off Nol rd.
You dont ever need to go to Hickory Hollow living there. Publix and Kroger are right there near Lenox Village, and WalMart is right on the corner of Nol Rd and Old Hickory.

Default Welcome

There are parts of our town that are really upscale. They call it Brentioch. Brentwood the upper class communities where home cost upwards of $300k. We live right across the street from Bridle Downs and our back yard is Lennox Village. One line separates us. Our neighborhood is very safe and everyone knows each other. Lisa

Definitely not. Brentwood homes cost a lot more than $300K. Try upwards of $3M. I'm not even sure if you can find a house in Brentwood below $400K.

We've seen some nice homes in decent looking neighborhoods in this area. Also seen some nice ones over near the lake. I don't know if this holds true, but it seems the further away from I24 you get in either direction the better it gets.

This is correct. Just go to Middle Tennessee Property Finder and you will see it right in front of you. And yes, Williamson County!

Have prices fallen in Brentwood? I was always under the impression that houses started at $400K. What a shame. Brentwood will lose its appeal and value if houses dip much lower.

No. There have always been homes for less than 400K in Brentwood.

Here is what's confusing. I've lived in a lot of different places and have come to realize that in most areas you can spot a bad area just by it's appearance. I realize that the occasional lawnmower may disappear regardless of where you live, but an area ravaged by crime usually will not have neighborhoods with nicely spaced two story homes, well manicured lawns, nice landscaping, etc., but when we look in Antioch we see lots of homes under $140K that offer exactly that. Those homes are almost always near the lake or on the Western edge of Antioch almost in South Nashville.
