i can easily remember trips to and through chattanooga when it looked like a steel city of pa or one of the chemical cities of the northeast...dirty, rusting, abandoned, smelly, and polluted. it was thought to have been beyond resurrection. nevertheless, someone over there got into high gear, cleaned up, put on some makeup, some jewelry, some perfume, and went on the offense. their riverfront is commendable, their renewal areas downtown are notable, and their aquarium laudable. kudos to chattanooga, one of the tn unsung heroes. what a beautiful part of the state.

Gotta rep Johnson City though.
I've heard many a story of retirees doing body shots and dancing on the bars of the local establishments there.

I was in Cookville today, Boring. Gift shops and a Coffee house are the Highlights. At least I was not scared as I was in Memphis
Nashviile, as does Chattanooga have a lot of nightlife.

Not totally sure what you're trying to say with that last sentence or what have you, but if you must be 80 or something if you think the nightlife here is good.

This is one of the most tired debates. No place is for everybody, thank goodness.

If you like a place, go there...if you don't, leave.

that is my philosophy exactly...if you like a thread, go there...if you don't, leave...just one other thing...don't try to orchestrate everyone's actions, you will be better off and much less busy.
