Davidson vs. Rutherford Counties
We're looking at the Smyrna area. There are some houses in Davidson and some in Rutherford County. What are the differences in these two counties- even though the immediate area would be very similar?

Smyrna is exclusively in Rutherford County. I find Rutherford County to be somewhat nicer overall and the schools are better than Davidson County on the whole.

Thanks. I guess the area is more LaVergne than Smyrna- the Cane Ridge area (Davidson Cty) that runs right into the outskirts of LaVergne.

Davidson County I believe has higher taxes and lesser quality of schools if you have kids that is...

Cane Ridge has an Antioch Zipcode. Its a good area but for resale value you might prefer to not have that Zipcode.

Smyrna actually sounds like a good options for you. It is in Rutherford County, and it's not much further South than Lavergne. It is definitely growing and has affordable housing, lots of new retail, restaurants and services. I'm impressed that they have one of the only Super Targets nearby. And of course, there's a Jim and Nick's...and it's one of the only two in Middle TN. But it has a lot more to offer than all that, of course.
