Heat pump replacement (purchase, prices, plumbing)

The heat pump's going to need replacement pretty soon, so we're looking for a company that will charge a fair price for purchase and installation. We're in Madison.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've used Maynard Fixturcraft a couple of times and found them to be a reasonable company to deal with. The last time I had to have my whole unit replaced and got several estimates and ended up going with an Amana unit from Maynard.

I've used Donelson Air in the past, but they are on the pricey side. I have a friend who used Interstate Air and they are very pleased with the work and price.

You'd be surprised by the different range of prices/quotes you can get from different companies.

My best personal experience is with Hiller Plumbing and Heating. Recommended them to a co-worker (who needed both zones of a 2-zone heat pump system replaced) and that person got the best deal from Hiller, after calling several places.

They are the company with the smiley face logo on their trucks.
