Hi, I have an interview with the Brentwood Police Department on Aug 25. I would love any info on Brentwood. I have a 12 year old son in Seventh grade. I am a 32 year old male. If anyone has anything, negative or positive please let me know.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

You should be happy working for the Brentwood Police. From what I know, it's a tight knit group. I'm known a couple of officers there and I never heard them say anything negative about the department (of course, cops often won't tell someone on the outside everything that goes on within a department).

One good thing about Brentwood: it's a low crime area and with their financial resources they can afford to maintain a large department relative to their size. I was once with a group that was going to a meeting at a church in Brentwood. The driver went something like 10 mph over the limit in a 35 mph zone. We were stopped and soon there were FOUR Brentwood patrol cars on the scene. The driver ended up just getting a warning.

I think you'd enjoy Brentwood. I have a lot of friends who live there and love it. About the only negative things I can say about it is that sometimes the people there can come across as just a bit snotty ("We've got ours!"). There are a lot of professionals who live there and sometimes people get to thinking that they're just a little bit better than the average person (kind of like an "in crowd" in high school, if that makes sense). Still, it's not a big problem.

Oh, and if you go to work there and happen to see a silver Honda or Mercedes going just a little too fast . . . just let that person off. ;-)

HAHA. I will try to remember that. The only thing that I am concerned about is the lack of activity. I am still young, lol. Any advice or info on schools, churches, single activities, Boys/Girls Club??

Brentwood is a very nice place to live and raise children. One of the downsides though is the cost of housing in Brentwood. It's very difficult to find a house for under 350k. Many people that work in Brentwood live elsewhere in Williamson County because of the house prices. No matter where you live in Williamson County you won't lack for children's activities.
