Default best area for single mid thirties professional

Hi--What cities do all of you consider best for a single professional people in their mid-thirties? I've seen a lot about Nashville recently on TV, it seems like there's something for everyone. I would be looking to buy a condo or a small house.

Thanks!

It all depends on what your interests are...Nashville has a lot going for it, so I imagine you'll find what you're looking for in or around the Nashville area.

What exactly are you hoping to find?

I would be looking for a relatively safe, walkable area of downtown or nearby, with shopping and places to eat. A place with a lot of single people/couples would be fun.

I would probably first suggest looking around the Midtown area (Hillsboro Village, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Sylvan Park). That area would have most of what you're looking for. Mall type shopping is limited in the area, but it's not far from there to Green Hills or some of the other shopping areas.
