Music City Motorplex (how much, prices, move)

I have some questions on the Music City Motorplex, I looked at their website and couldn't find all that I need.

They are closed this week due to the fair, so I couldn't reach them on the phone.

On next friday 9/19, there is something called a Test and Tune, which I imagine is like a trial race.

Next saturday 9/20 there is a big race scheduled.


Questions I have are:

1. What time does each of those events start, and what time do the gates open?

2. How much does it cost to get in on friday and saturday?

3. Has anyone here been to a Test and Tune before? and how many people usually attend that?

4. Are the lines usually long at the ticket booth.


I have only been to one car race in my life, so I don't know much about it. I just want to try something different.

I am curious about any info as well. When/if my wife and I move there, it will be a place to run my GTO.

I am not even sure I will get to go now, since the gas prices have shot up sky high today. This is getting ridiculous.

The motorplex at the fairgrounds is a circle track. Music City Raceway is the drag strip. They usually have something going on every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. I'm guessing with a GTO you'd be more into drag racing than swapping paint on the circle track.

Music City Raceway

Yep drag racing. I have heard that the strip is under the same ownership as the one in Bowling Green, but isn't quite as nice. On the other hand it doesn't have to be "nice", just open and available.
