Default When would be the best time to apply for jobs? Moving April 09

Hi,
I will be moving to Nashville April 2009 after I graduate with my Masters. Would applying to jobs in Nashville in February be too early to start looking for a potential start date the middle of April?

What would be the best sight to look for Health Care Management positions?
Thanks

I don't think that Feb is too early. Check out the St Thomas system and Vanderbilt for starters. Good luck!

I would recommend you start contacting recruiters in your field immediately. It's going to take you a couple months to figure out who is competent and who is not.

I work in corporate finance, and I started contacting recruiters to get a network going a full year before I relocated to Nashville. This process allows you to weed out the wheat from the chafe. Believe me, there is a lot of chafe out there. The benefit of the recruiters is the good ones will float your credentials to companies that they know hire often. Then when it's time for you to relocate you probably will have a couple things already lined up.

Thank you all for your responses. My husband is a recruiter, so hopefully he can point me in the right direction.

Wish you the best. There are many good health care providers in the Nashville area. Also, Clarksville just opened a new hospital that you might look at for possible employment. Home - Gateway Medical Center
