My wife works in retail pharmacy, so she knows all about the snob factor. If that's the only issue you present, then it's Williamson County all the way for us. I can put up with a few snobs if it offers all the advantages I laid out in my previous post.
We choose to associate with like-minded non-snobbish folk and don't worry about trying to get the newest Bimmer because our neighbor has a snazzy new Benz.

No disrepect to you, but it sounds like you are saying there are no "dumb" kids in Williamson county? Just because ppl have the money to live in Williamson county means they give birth to only smart children? I'm sorry That is how this statement sounds. The use of the word "dumb" when describing children who live outside of Williamson county is sort of offensive.

I'm glad you love Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. There are many nice areas to live in Rutherford County and it has a good school system. I would never say anything bad about Rutherford County unless I presented the facts to back up my opinion.
What I don't understand is why you take every opportunity to bash and put down everything about Williamson County and you've probably never lived nor worked in Williamson County. Not only that, you don't provide any factual data to try and support your opinions. Many people come on this thread to find out real information about the Nashville area from people who are knowledgeable about the area. You appear to be knowledgeable about Rutherford County and I'm sure many people appreciate what you have to offer on Rutherford County. You come across as less knowledgeable about Williamson County based on unfounded "opinions" and your refusal to provide any facts to back up your "opinions". And by the way, unless and until you can provide facts to back up your "opinions", your opinions may be yours, but they are mostly wrong when it comes to your comments on Williamson County. I'm fairly sure these "opinions" of yours about Williamson County do little to help people requesting information.
In spite of your negativity against Williamson County, its interesting that Williamson County is considered one of the most desirable counties to live in the United States. Nissan Motor Company chose Williamson County for their corporate headquarters primarily for two reasons, one being financial and the other being the high quality of living for their employees. I have personally met with Nissan Representatives and they stated that based on their research and experience that Williamson County had the most to offer from a quality of family living perspective than any other county they studied. Some of the criteria they included was schools, family life, recreation, shopping, geographic diversity, entertainment, housing, children's activities, business climate, parks, education levels, low crime, friendliness of people, and convenience.
With this said, I don't understand your feeling a need to sling unfounded accusations about Williamson County when it is obvious that your opinion and the real facts just don't jive.

Reading comprehension for the win!!!
I'm not talking about any specific county. I'm discussing smart kids in less than ideal school districts. Overall the students are obviously dumber because they test lower.
If student A scores higher than student B, A is smarter than B. Likewise, B is dumber than A, it's just a fact.

Steve-TN,
From what you have stated, you love Rutherford and Murfreesboro counties. What you haven't stated is why. I am looking for info on all these areas. Why do you love it? Are the schools good? Low crime? Good fun family activities for everyone from time to time? Shopping?
Gbone, thank you so much for the great insight on Williamson County! Lots of great facts to go on. I look forward to visiting Tennessee next month to see all these great areas for myself. So far, I have only seen parts of Franklin County, and part of Coffee County. Williamson County sounds wonderful for a family.
Keep 'em comin' guys! Thanks again!

The whole discussion is on Williamson county schools you said kids in a lesser district. Lesser than what? Lesser than Williamson county? You inferred it right in your post.

Please get back on topic. If you want to debate schools post another thread. Please keep in mind that "dumb" kids might not be so dumb after all; perhaps they just don't test well. Einstein was classified as retarded until they discovered he was dyslexic. I'll get back on topic too.

I also remember a recent post where someone moving from Kansas City who wanted older stock housing in a more "funky, artistic type" neighborhood and then mentioned they would be having children soon and a certain someone posted something to the extent of "Since your having kids you should look at Williamson county". It's blanket/pretentious posts like that that I think really gets to other people on this forum. Also, Williamson county is a lot of things but "funky" is not one of them.
