Scootie, you will find no difference in VA and TN. They are both part of the Eastern Woodlands. VA winters are a little worse, but that's all.

I have lived here almost 20 years and in that time, have seen maybe a half dozen ticks total. And, I've always had pets. Deer ticks are the ones that cause Lyme Disease and I think they are mostly in E. TN and in the more rural areas. I live out in the county (not Davidson) and still don't see that many.

Now, those big giant wolf spiders are a different story.

Again with spiders!!!

You know after the moving away from family thing, spiders are the SECOND thing on my list that is preventing me from saying "Let's relocate!"
The third thing on my list is snakes..... YIKES!
