I would avoid the Providence community when it comes to housing. I know that the houses were built very fast for a quick profit. Many of the houses aren't up to par with similar priced houses elsewhere.

When my wife and I went down to Nashville on a fact finding mission last summer, we went to Providence. In trying to get there, we stumbled across this subdivision, just a few minutes from Providence yet seemingly in a different world. We loved it.

3) What kinds of problems do homeowners normally have in TN (mold, termites, radon, etc,)?

I lived in Mt Juliet approx. 7 years ago Provendence was on the drawing board for years The subdivision was called Belinda City. I cannot remember the whole story, but the builder was not one for quality and to make matters worse he bankrupted I think. It had such a bad name they changed the subdivision's name to Villages of Mt Juliet to outrun the reputation. I know nothing about any new construction in the area.

I currently live in Mt. Juliet. It's a nice place to live.
Try looking for McKinley Petino's website through a search engine.
Also, most of the houses that have alot of steps are due to building into the side of a hill with solid rock.

Wright Farms is a nice area, you will definitley get a bigger sized lot than in Providence. Alos, the immediate traffic around Providence is HORRIBLE! They built the area up before they built the roads. There are plenty of backroads, you just have to find them .

I read where some of the houses were falling to pieces before they were sold. But that was last summer in the local paper. Probably make them alittle better now.
