Default Need info on Bass fishing and places for wife to shop

Thinking about moving to Nashville and wondering about the fishing in the area. I was wondering what the most popular lakes/rivers there are in the area for bass fishing.

Also, I know there are targets and Walmarts all around the area. Does the South have any other kind of stores similar to these that are fun to shop at. We are from Oregon and so this question is for the wife.

Thanks

Both Old Hickory and Priest have good bass fishing, I believe. At one time Old Hickory had the world record for smallmouth. Within an hour to two-hours drive there are a number of other large lakes such as Dale Hollow, Center Hill, Kentucky Lake, and several others. I mostly fish for crappie myself in the smaller lakes, so I'm no bass fishing expert.

You can visit the websites for Cool Springs Galleria, Green Hills Mall, and Opry Mills to see what stores are in the area. Everyone is all excited that there's a Trader Joe's in town now. And for you, there's a Bass Pro Shop! ;-)

Is TJ open now? I thought that was a 2009 thing.

No Two Buck Chuck though in TN...sniff sniff. It's horrible, but very nostalgic.
