Murfreesboro property taxes

I do pay Rutherford couty taxes in my mortgage that I know. My last mortgage statement of the year last year said Rutherford County and the amount paid them which was $1175. Now when you guys got your tax bills from "Murfreesboro city" I didn't get one, but the next day I got Rutherford County tax bill that says $1233. It doesn't say this is not a bill, yet I know those taxes are paid in my mortgage. I guess I have to wait until Monday to clear this up. My neighbor received two bills (notices) and she pays hers in her mortgage.

After writing this I dug out my mortgage papers. Both taxes are listed there and I added up my escrow payment for 12 months and subtracted the two taxes and my homeowners insurance and it comes out right. Now why did I not get a notice though like you guys did? That remains a mystery.

I didn't have two taxes in FL only one, because it was unincorporated where I lived. This two tax thing confused me when you all talked about getting a notice and I didn't. UGH!

I'm just curious because we bought at the end of Feb. and our bill is about $300. I was expecting more; although I knew they would be cheap b/c our home is assessed at less than $100K.

Here in FL the tax bill you get now would be for 2008 taxes.

Hello Kim,
I get one bill here in FL and it includes the City taxes as well. Then the County sends the City their share.
