What gang is he in? That will play a big role in how well he will fit in at McGavock, the high school for which Old Hickory is zoned.
If I were you, I would try to find a way to get yourself a Wilson County address so he can go to Mt. Juliet, or pay the out-of-county tuition if you can afford it.

True, some of Mt. Juliet actually has an Old Hickory zip code (similar to the places in Davidson County that have a Brentwood mailing address). In that area, he's zoned for Mt. Juliet High. I don't know of any issues a skateboarder and rocker would have -- not like you never see those around these days -- but you'll have to check the school dress code to see if the skinny jeans are permissible!

Just an FYI, there's a pretty cool skate park near Wave Country in Donelson.

I am pretty sure Mt. Juliet went to uniforms...the standard khakis and button down shirts. For sure call first.

That's right Gabby. My sis-in-law taught at Mt. Juliet and I remember her talking about the uniform dress code.

Hopefully
You are all settled in by now....my family and I love Mt. Juliet. The schools here are fantastic, and the environment is very safe. Let us know how you are!!!! :-)
