I'm going to be relocating to Nashville from California, but I will have to claim my California unemployment benefits through Tennessee's Unemployment office.
My question is - How does Tennessee do the payouts?
For example, the California Unemployment office mails you a two-week benefits coupon that you MUST fill out and mail on the date the coupon says to (usually a Sunday). Since the post office is closed on Sunday, the mail will be delivered on Monday and you receive your check on Saturday. God forbid there's a holiday, then you won't get it until the following week.

It takes approximately THREE WEEKS to get your weekly benefits in California. In essence, you're basically getting paid ONCE A MONTH instead of every week. Of course this type of payment puts you behind on ALL of your bills and you're basically broke until your next check. They don't plan on changing this delivery method any time soon either.
This is in sharp contrast as to how New York dispenses benefits. You file for your benefits once a week over the phone and get your check two or three days later. Perfect. You always have money and are never broke.
For those that may know, does Tennessee dispense unemployment benefits the New York or California way?
Thank you so much for you help on this matter.

It will help me determine what I need to do.
