My husband and I are considering relocating to Tennessee and I was wondering if I could get some advice at what towns would be best? We are looking for a country property with at least 5 or more acres, but hopefully not more than 20-25 minutes from a "major" town. I would loike good schools. Thank you in advance for any input...Happy Thanksgiving!!

If you are considering Nashville and want to stay within 25 minutes and be in the country, I'd look at the following (based off minimum 5 acres and a house):

Entry level price range ($50K to $199K): Cheatham County is a wonderful, affordable area with quick access to Nashville via I-40 and Hwy 12. Cities within the commute distance include Ashland City, Kingston Springs and parts of Pleasant View and Chapmansboro.

Mid level price range ($200K to $350K): Davidson County is Nashville's county and will have options for you with a "country" feel while still being in the metropolitan area. You'll want to check out Whites Creek, Joelton, Scottsboro and Goodlettsville.

Upper level price range ($350+): Williamson County's country areas are gorgeous with many near the Natchez Trace Parkway. Leiper's Fork, Fairview and parts of Franklin will have options for you.

There are tons of areas within 25 minutes of Nashville, but I think I'd overwhelm you. I just wanted to hit the highlights. Hope this helps!
