After moving here I worked in an entry-level position at the Opryland Hotel and relied on free day old danishes or a 52 cent yogurt for my lunch or dinner. Their fruit punch was free and actually one of the better fruit punches I have ever had. I could never have done this though if I had a wife or family at that time.
Steve,
Wow! I admire you for doing that. I guess I never could. My son has his 3rd interview on Tuesday, with a Supervisor. Hopefully he will get the Job. He also recieved an email yesterday from their Murfreesboro Operation. If he doesn't get the Franklin office job, he's going for that. They seem to be doing quite well. I know they are hiring 50 people in Franklin.
The pay is more than $10 an hour, and it has first day benefits. He does have quite a bit more experience than the Job requirments
It pays less than he's making now in NJ, but with the state income tax, it comes out even.

You will pull though this just fine.
It's a catch 22. That is exactly what most of us need to do to survive these days, but it's that lack of spending and putting back into the economy that will take us into the next great depression. In previous economic down-turns people had money, they just didn't spend it. This time, people are losing their jobs and their retirement savings and just don't have to money to spend even if they wanted to.
