Default What kind of cable are they laying in Rivergate?
During the week before and of Thanksgiving, I observed some crews running and burying some cable in Rivergate and then along Vietnam Veteran's between R'gate and Hendersonville. It may go beyond those points, but that's all I personally observed. You can also see where they filled up the trenches and covered them with hay.

Any idea what they might be laying? Fiber optic, maybe?

I'm curious too. If you drive up Vietnam Vets, you can see it all along the road at least for a few exits.

It's likley that they're running electric lines underground ( which would be nice so that the ice doesn't snap them someday.. ) All TDOT says is that construction on Vietnam Vets will be completed in May, 2010..
